Rifa eX fixtures are named as such because they are now
part of the eXchange System, a status they share with the
Lowel SoftCore. This means that they have a modular based
lamphead system that allows quick swapping to other lamping
options with a simple push & twist. Now your Rifa eX
can use screw-threaded daylight fluorescent lamps, or lower
wattage & lower voltage tungsten halogen lamps.
The standard supplied head for the Rifa eX models 55, 66 &
88 is the TH-X1000. The standard supplied head for the Rifa
eX 44 is (the lower max. wattage) TH-X300. The TH-X300
head will fit the 55, 66 & 88 Rifa eX's, but the TH-X1000 will
not fit the Rifa eX 44.
If you use your Rifa eX with its standard supplied lamphead,
you would still set up & strike in the normal manner.
|
If you use the eX fluorescent accessory heads, you will find
that you can't pack up the light with them installed. Recommended
practice is to store the Rifa eX with its supplied lamphead
installed. It is not necessary to remove the supplied
standard head when storing or shipping the light.
The screw-threaded eX lampheads with lamps & Lamptubes
have been combined to create eXchange Fluorescent Accessory
Packs, which you can either carry in your own case or
store in one of our selected case options. There is also a TH-X300 Accessory Pack, for Rifa eX 55, 66, & 88. It packs
the 300w max tungsten-halogen lamphead, supplied with the
lower wattage Rifa eX 44, and a 200w FVL lamp & Lampak,
to provide lower output in larger Rifa's without the sacrificing
the softness of larger models.
